Facebook?

I'm kind of ambivalent towards Facebook. My entire family seems to have me friended which makes me not want to use the site and I kind of get lost when I go over there or depressed. It's weird I have old friends from college on there but I'm not sure we have anything in common anymore? I feel more of a connection with my peeps on DW and LJ.

I'm not deleting my Facebook but using it feels like too much work.

I'm posting recs next, that always makes me happy. :)

I know of people who deal with that by having two FB accounts, one for fannish/real life and one for muggle life - it's free, after all!

Yeah, I made the mistake of accepting invites from certain people from the past I shouldn't have. They are all super religious, right-wing conservatives - needless to say we don't see eye to eye. And I don't mind disagreeing, but I hate it when I get these "Well, I'll pray for you" posts. Praying for me isn't going to make me homophobic, people. *sigh* I've pretty much decided to sit down and clean out a lot of people, now I just need to do it!

For all it's faults, fandom is such a safe place for me; I only wish RL were as awesome.

I don't have a Facebook, and I'm thrilled not to - keeping up with faux relationships in fandom is stressful enough (you know, keeping someone friended, even though you don't really interact or share interests, because you fear offending them if you defriend); I could not deal with that shit with RL relatives/old acquaintences I have no interest in a Facebook non-friendship with, gah.

yeah Facebook stresses me out more than LJ/DW for some reason....I don't think we're missing anything.
