Amalthia's recs and fan works

I got up a bit early, at 10am which is early for me but it was still a bit too late to take my car into the shop for an oil change and free detail (got a coupon for it) so instead I stayed home and I've been troubleshooting my 1.5 TB external harddrive. I'm getting a $Mft Windows Write Delay failure periodically on it. According to google it looks like something is wrong with it or I needed to increase my table page thing...So I gave that a shot and I've started moving everything off of the drive, which btw is not so easy. I had 250 gigs of anime (I have no drive that has that much free space) Plus I'd just downloaded 2 seasons of Veronica Mars and the rest of Farscape...so the anime stuff is going everywhere! it's going to be a real bitch to get it all back together later on. Though i'm wondering if spreading it out isn't a bad idea because if one drive fails I don't lose my entire anime collection (some of which would be very difficult to replace)

Once I have everything off the drive I plan on reformatting it completely, install 5 seperate partitions (I only have 3 at the moment) and then do some error checking to be on the safe side. I'm still tempted to go and buy myself another harddrive and send this one back to the factory...however I only get the write delay failure message once a week...and I'm not sure if there are other factors...but I do know I'm rather nervous trusting it now.

So I'm still doing research on external drives. I'm thinking to maybe go and get two 500 gb drives instead, maybe the 1.5 models really aren't ready? Or maybe my partions were too big.

My SO, is taking the first part of his Professional Engineering test so he's been stressed out this week studying and etc...the test is an all day test, so I'm kind of enjoying time to myself at home. Kept re-watching the susan boyle video on youtube and then looking for more versions of I Dreamed a Dream to see how she compares...so far I only liked one other version about the same as I liked hers.

I also finally finished converting all 12 books of the Repairman Jack series. I figured out why the Table of Contents for the Tomb were doubled...so yay! go me. :) I spent the last week kind of working on the html getting it ready for conversion and so far the < h2 > tags really helped. I'm learning how to use Calibre to automate a lot of stuff I used to add directly to the html. The downside is if anyong grabs my new html docs to use for their own conversions I'll also have to share my css codes that make the files work.

And now I'm going to exercise. My other computer says it's going to be over 100 minutes before some of the anime finishes transfering... so I figured some activity would be good.
