I'm realizing I'm a bit lucky
Jan. 4th, 2010 10:04 pmHere's the situation over New Years weekend our garbage disposal broke and stopped draining and well we were stuck having to use the other side of the sink and we could not use our dishwasher. So today on my husband's flexday he set about fixing the problem which in our household usually means throwing away the offending broken hardware and replacing it with either new hardware or something completely different. Well he replaced it with pipes (no new garbage disposal) really I'd rather spend 300 bucks on a new ebook reader or a new laptop. (I actually probably need a new laptop more)
So the long and short is our sink is still broken but I feel lucky that my husband went back to Lowe's 4 times today trying to get the right parts, he used Gorilla Glue and and all sorts of methods to get our sink working like a real sink again and though the pipe leaked after all our work getting them to fit, he did not give up. He said he'll try again tomorrow. Um me, I may be able to fix computers but I swear my brain turns off when I see pipes so I'm glad he's here and trying to fix the sink with duct tape, 3 dollar pipes, and gorilla glue.
Here's hoping we get it working tomorrow. :)
