Amalthia's recs and fan works

Today I had to call in sick because that little head cold I started to get over the weekend turned into a coughing, runny nose/stuffy nose kind of thing. My nose is red and really hurting and my lips are all dried out (no clue why that's happened) And it's hard to breathe.

I'm thinking to take another sick day tomorrow because on Monday when I went in I just felt really gross because my nose wouldn't stop running and the cold medicine made me even more tired and sleepy than I already was. Basically, I just want my nose to figure out what it's doing and get better soon.

Today around five I got dizzy and kind of feverish so I went to bed for two hours and felt a bit better so I ate dinner when I woke up.

So I guess it's safe to say I'm kind of in a bleh mood.

Some things of happiness. It looks like there are more e-ink device people out and about. I found a new community called kindle_fanfic and it's basically fan fiction for the Kindle. But I figured that's pretty good for me because with Calibre I can convert the Mobi formatted stories into LRF and read them on my device.

When I first saw it I did have a moment of oh noes! someone made a even nicer community than what I have (though why I feel possessive is beyond me I didn't even start the fanfic_ebooks community...). Then I realized the two communities actually compliment each other. I had to have a reality check where I had to remind myself the community I'm moderating is for ALL e-ink devices and is geared towards tutorials and sharing information about new devices and I don't see that changing. And really it's good that there are more communities because it's getting the information out there. Kindle or Sony PRS users still need to get that single file version together before any of us are able to add fan fiction to our devices so technically both groups are in the same boat.

rakshi was incredibly awesome in our brief correspondence so hopefully I don't stick my foot in my mouth as I sometimes do and mess up what could be a very good moderator to moderator relationship. It's just really nice to meet people who know their way around formatting. I've also meet someone else via private correspondence that I can learn a thing or two from and that's a really good feeling. :)

Yesterday, I also had the realization that I have passive aggressive tendencies but I never noticed until I look at how I communicate online.

In fannish news, I saw the finale for BSG and I LOVED it. It was moving, sad, some of it was still WTF? but wow what a ride. I'm also still in love with The Sarah Conner Chronicles.

And SPN 4x16 : head of a pin was one of my favorite episodes this season!

I'm still playing Go and I'm getting much better! the teachers at the Go Club said my husband and I are doing rather well considering we started 3 months ago. I was hoping maybe someone on my flist liked playing Go? and we could try to play online sometime?

I'm also completely shipping Dean/Castiel

I really WANT LIKE AIR Uthur/Merlin angst fics so if anyone knows any good stories...please share.
